Rumour has it...

...that a concerted effort of international media outlets to reproduce the likely outcome in the affairs between two sovereign States are capable of sparking a physical conflict in the region. If that were true, where does that leave politics and diplomacy? In the spiral between a clean exit from memoranda, the increase in tourist revenues, the complete recovery of the Greek economy and a likely war with our neighbours from the East, one scenario does not make sense.
Rumour also has it, that we are on the brink of WW3, on the breakthrough to eliminate all forms of cancer, to shift to 100% renewable energies, to substitute humans with machines, and to prove the relativity theory obsolete. How much of that is fake news and how much is true no one can tell for sure. What I know for a fact though is, that if I look at the world after one week of not switching on my TV set vs. to watching TV obsessively, I am talking about essentially two different worlds. The first one, which many may also describe as a "phase of denial" I am at peace with myself and the rest of the world, I am more tolerant to difference and I much easier process the notion of diversity on the planet. In the second world, which one can describe as the "phase of keeping myself updated" I can't help feeling a deep emotion of intolerance for stupidity and I withdraw in a constant state of defence in fear of everyone and everything. Robberies, rapes, violence, war, killings, all forms of human suffering and the prevailing emotion of despair.
I conclude that what keeps me going as a human being is the constant feed of my brain with images and sounds. Which shifts my life essentially towards two major options. Option one, is to assign the procurement of sounds and images to uncontrollable sources such as the public media, or option two is to take charge of the task privately. I have given it a try with option one for a very long time, but I must openly confess that the quality of deliverables is far inferior to the quality of deliverables that I procure to myself. A heavily misbalanced cost-benefit approach. In the end, everyone's life is the mix between personal and conscious choices and of choices fed by the system to your brain. Electrical impulses if you will, but with a very different impact.
Rumour has it...that I could be totally wrong with my above analysis. In the end, it is all about "whatever works" for everyone better depending on everyone's needs to make it through the day. When routine kicks-in, your demanding boss pushes you to do things you hate or you don't agree with, when your bills are dominating the agenda of your life, and when all your thrills are cashed-out in the form of a dinner-out, excitement can only be provided in extreme forms. Positive or negative. When more comfort is drawn from a computer screen that expands your physical life into the virtual arena where you can be whoever you want to be then the system needs to control your screen. How else can you be a useful instrument?
Rumour has it that we are close to the final act of globalisation. To the instalment of a global government. To the absolute domination of the Anti-Christ. In the Christian world, that is...I can't speak about the other religions and how they construe the current situation on the planet...rumour has it, that depending on their media outlets they may perceive reality in a totally different way, which may not reconcile with our western views. I guess, this goes like every game. You need to watch it to end to see how it plays out.
