How long can someone bend logic?

President Donald Trump is accepting a gift from Qatar worth an estimated 400 million USD. Shamelessly, the President made it clear that he sees no conflict of interest whatsoever in accepting this gift, a position which is poorly backed by nonsense argumentation made by the MoJ essentially throwing FCPA, FPA and the entire world’s Anti-Bribery legislation to the trash bin. Because make no mistake, this is an act of bribery of the highest scale, one the world has never seen before. And certainly not in such provocative visibility, which makes the Clinton’s probably blush by comparison. One needs to really ask himself where is the boundary of the tolerance level for presidential misconduct and unaccountability? A president who is running his office as a CEO and whose every second expressions is about “making deals”. He also shamelessly abuses his executive power in the pursuit of his deals, clearly demonstrating that he is dangerously clueless when it comes to history, to geopolitics and to alliances. He essentially ignores everything that has to do with how the world has come to where it is today. He only sees “deals” behind every situation and opportunities to create wealth for himself and his billionaire buddies. Countless stupidities, that paint the profile of a person who has no understanding of the repercussions of his actions when airing footage taken in the oval office with his billionaire friends asking them how many millions or billions they made that day after his -what experts describe as- “stock market manipulation” declaration of tariffs on almost the entire world the one day, causing the market to collapse to only make a different statement about suspending the application of the same for 30 days the next one, knowingly that this is causing the market to fluctuate after every statement. Earlier this year rumors surfaced about the DoD awarding a 400 million USD contract to Tesla to procure armored cybertrucks to the US army, only to be contradicted by Elon Musk days later, meanwhile it is safe to assume that these news had an impact on Tesla’s stock price fluctuation (with probably someone benefiting from that), while days ago at the TOKEN2049 conference held in Dubai, Mr. Zach Witkoff, a founder of the Trump family cryptocurrency business announced that a fund backed by Abu Dhabi would be making a 2 billion USD business deal using the Trump firm’s digital coin. Are we for real? How much longer is the world going to tolerate this? How much longer before world leaders realize that they are dealing with a dangerous sociopath who is acting as the world’s strongest political figure, promising to broker peace around the world as if he had any control over processes whatsoever, however, breaking one law after the other in the pursuit of personal gain with no ethical restraint whatsoever. And while experts have tried to do a profiling resorting to all kinds of theories about his conduct -some saying that he is applying Richard Nixon’s mad man’s theory- my take is that the answer is a lot simpler when trying to profile him from the angle of a sociopath, whose traits he clearly puts to the light. The lack of empathy for others, his impulsive behavior, his attempts to control others through threats or aggression (Zelensky has probably something to say in this regard), not learning from his mistakes, and his shameless lying for personal gain. A narcissist of a kind combined with the power of his position creates an explosive mix of a troubled personality. One must wonder, especially given his history in business (he has filed six times for bankruptcy) yet everyone buys into the story of the great dealmaker, as he likes to portray himself. What am I missing? And where does this stop? What is going wrong with the checks and balances system of the world’s greatest democracy these days? When its very leader cannot help it but share words of admiration for the world’s biggest contemporary dictators (Erdogan, Kim Jong Un and Putin) undermining all values for which blood has been shed to form the contemporary US democracy, most probably attracted by the absence of the rule of law in those respective countries which would otherwise pose limitations to ones power and where leader and state are one and the same in every respect. All of the above present the results of his first 100 days in power. Certainly, more absurdity than prudence until this moment. Rhetoric about Canada becoming the 51st US State, Greenland being acquired and Panama being recaptured do not align with peacemaking rhetoric around the globe. I wonder if we had to rate the consistency of all statements made by Trump in the last 100 days the outcome would be very poor. Add to that the poor level of English in his speeches, his arrogance and his really poor looks you paint the picture of a man who must have had a troubled childhood. But I would stick to his mother’s opinion of him -whether substantiated or not it definitely meets with my views of him- when she said: “Yes, he’s an idiot with zero common sense and no social skills, but he is my son. I just hope he never gets into politics. He’d be a disaster.”
